ABOUT
Boasting over two-decades experience in the construction industry, Sam Whitehead, completed his apprenticeship in the Gatton, Ipswich and Brisbane region.
Sam then split his time travelling between Sydney and Melbourne while project-managing boutique residential builds with million-dollar budgets.
Nowadays, Sam is based on the Gold Coast where he manages and directs Whitehead Built Constructions and works with a small team of trade professionals hand-selected for their attention-to-detail and commitment to quality.

AVOCADO HOUSE
Originally a quintessential Southern Gold Coast asbestos shack, this project involved creating a contemporary beach home that married to the local suburb character and architecture.
The client brief involved a renovation that captured coastal breezes - something that was achieved by extending the back of the property which included new bedrooms, master en suite and main bathroom; an entirely new roof, carport, plunge pool, entertainment deck, kitchen and living area complemented by natural light thanks to high-entry ceilings and windows.
The end result was the perfect, but quaint, Gold Coast home suited for robust entertaining or life in the slow lane.
BEACH SHACK
Originally a three-bedroom, singe level brick dwelling, this house was transformed into a fully renovated family home.
The client vision focussed on capturing all the elements of outdoor living; this was achieved by converting the existing carport into a new kitchen and butler’s pantry complimented by new bathrooms, laundry, reclaimed bedroom and office spaces.
The grand style front entry and deck boasts Merbau timber as the hero – a focal point carried throughout the open plan living space and married to the stunning outdoor gazebo entertainment area.
